Few people are as well-known for their love of cats as much as comedian and podcaster Marc Maron, but that isnât necessarily a good thing for his own cats, not when they have to live and depend on someone quick to anger and constantly worried about, well, everything.
In this exclusive clip from his upcoming comedy special More Later on Epix, Maron talks about realizing that his cats might not have problems, but rather one problem — him.
âIâm not the optimal owner of a cat. My cats go through a horrible experience, almost daily. Itâs not unusual for me to wake up and within five minutes go, âGod dammit whatâs happening today!â and I have to assume a catâs like, âWhat we were just sleeping, what can be the problem already!ââ
I assume he yells that every morning, so maybe his cats are actually totally used to it by now.
This has already been a monumental year for Maron, as President Barack Obama appeared in Maronâs own garage to tape an episode of the WTF podcast, and then later Maron got to sit down for a long interview with his self-professed hero, Keith Richards. His very funny, semi-autobiographical show on IFC, Maron, was also renewed for a fourth season.
The special airs premieres tonight, December 4th, on Epix. Something tells me this will not be the only time his anger and self-doubt comes up. I mean, who wants a totally content Marc Maron anyway?
What’s your favorite Marc Maron interview? What about your favorite stand-up bit of his? Let’s discuss it in the comments below as we get ready to watch his new special.
