It’s been nearly six years since Sid Meier’s Civilization V released for PC. If you’ve been waiting to conquer a whole new world, we’ve got some great news; Firaxis (XCOM 2) and 2K Games just announced Civilization VI. As if that wasn’t enough, they also released a trailer (which you can check out above), and revealed that the game will be making it’s way to PC October 21, 2016. Check out the trailer at the top of the page.
We don’t know too much about the game at the moment, but the game’s description elaborates on some of the changes that are on the way:
“Civilization VI offers new ways to engage with your world: cities now physically expand across the map, active research in technology and culture unlocks new potential, and competing leaders will pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race for one of five ways to achieve victory in the game.”
The game’s official website also shared a few screenshots that show off the game’s new art-style. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s a lot more cartoonish than Civilization V. Â It will be interesting to see what the rest of the game looks like when more screenshots or gameplay are shown off. It is certainly a change of pace from the realistic style in previous games.
