CIVIL WAR Trailer Adds New Footage at the Kids’ Choice Awards

If you’re a Marvel fan of any sort, then you have probably watched the new Captain America: Civil War trailer that premiered Thursday at least a dozen times, if not more. It’s not often that one second of trailer footage can give a majority renewed interest in a character who has already had five movies under his belt. At Saturday night’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, we were treated to even more seconds of new footage.

The video on YouTube got pulled by Viacom. We’re working on finding a proper replacement. Apologies.

Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr. came to the stage and after an intense thumb war that hopefully didn’t spoil anything, they helped introduce the broadcast premiere of the trailer. What was shown was almost everything we had already seen a few days before, but we do get a better look at Crossbones (Frank Grillo) getting ready for battle, as well as Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) mixing it up with Bucky (I think she ends up on #TeamCap eventually, so let’s assume he just parked in her spot).

So we now have the basic plot, we know who’s on whose team, and we got to see a bit of the MCU version of Spider-Man. Now we play the waiting game for the next two months.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters and IMAX on May 6.

So what do you think? What will Crossbones and Sharon’s roles be in Civil War? How many times have you watched the trailer? Let me know on Twitter or say “hey” to everyone in the comments below.
