Chris Pratt Pays Tribute to His Father with Touching Tweet

In case you needed a reminder of why you love Chris Pratt so much, the actor took to Twitter this Labor Day weekend to pay tribute to his late father.

The actor’s father, Dan Pratt, suffered from multiple sclerosis and passed away in 2014 during the filming of Jurassic World.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star talked about his late father with GQ in an article that ran this past June. Based on his description of his father, Labor Day seems like an especially appropriate time to remember him.

He was a hard worker. He was a good problem solver—like, physical problems. He was good at building things with his hands. He could kind of fake it till you make it in terms of machinery and equipment—like, they would ask ‘Anyone at this site know how to run a Caterpillar?’ and he’d be like ’Yeah, I do’, and then he’d get in there and figure out the controls, confident in his ability to figure shit out as he went along.

Make sure to head over and check out the rest of the article. It is clear how much Dan Pratt influenced his son’s life, and how much he is missed.

Great acting is about sincerity and authenticity. The more we learn about Chris Pratt the person the more we understand why we have come to love Chris Pratt the actor so much.

So on this Labor Day here’s to Chris Pratt’s father, and all the other people out there that worked hard to make our lives a little easier. Thanks.
