Chris Pine and WONDER WOMAN Director Patty Jenkins Reuniting for TV

We’re all still raving over the Wonder Woman 2 release info from Comic Con this year. While we’re all waiting to get solid answers on Patty Jenkins‘ return to direct the sequel or if we’ll see Chris Pine return as Steve Trevor, it looks like we’ll also be getting a Pine and Jenkins tea- up on the small screen.

As Vulture reports, the two will be reuniting for a six-episode TNT series called One Day She’ll Darken. The series will be based on the fascinating true story of Fauna Hodel. As an infant in 1949, Hodel’s mother gave her away to a casino bathroom attendant, leading to Hodel’s search for answers about her biological family as an adult. However, as Hodel digs deeper into her family’s history, she starts to uncover connections to a conspiracy involving Dr. George Hodel. Dr. Hodel was a physician that not only has a reputation for corruption, but was connected with the infamous Black Dahlia murder.

Chris Pine will play Jay Singletary, an ex-Marine turned disgraced tabloid journalist after his initial reports on the Hodel story. Pine will also be executive producer alongside 13 Reasons Why‘s Michael Sugar. Patty Jenkins’ husband, Sam Sheridan (A Fighter’s Heart, Disaster Diaries), will be penning the script, and Jenkins has signed on to direct the pilot with the option of potentially directing additional episodes as well.

One Day She’ll Darken is collecting a team of incredibly talented people, and we can’t wait to learn more about this show. Though TNT hasn’t issued a release date yet, this definitely seems like one to watch.

Are you excited for One Day She’ll Darken? Tell us what you’re most looking forward to about the show in the comments!
