Chris Evans Shares Fight Training Videos From THE WINTER SOLDIER

When you watch a big action movie, you can intellectually know the fight scenes you’re watching take an inordinately long time to make look perfect, but in the moment you get caught up in the spectacle of it all. Nowhere is this effect on display more than in the Marvel movies, films that pound-for-pound have more action than you can shake a considerably large stick at. Chris Evans–you know, Captain America himself–has taken the lion’s share of the physical action in the franchise, and he’s done it for what’ll be six movies once Avengers: Infinity War opens.

To celebrate, Evans took to Twitter to share out videos of him practicing fight choreography for some of the best fights in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which still stands as his crowning achievement. The videos really show off how much of a dance it is to learn the moves in the right rhythm so as to not, you know, hurt the person you’re working with. Or yourself.

The first video has moves from the fight between Cap and the Winter Soldier which features some fancy knife work.

The other three are from the movie’s crowning achievement, the close-quarters brawl in the S.H.I.E.L.D. elevator between Cap and ALL THE BAD GUYS EVER. The first video shows Evans working on the moves solo.

The second has what the bedlam of the brawl’s beginning, complete with Cap being grabbed around the throat by super large dudes.

And finally a really cool look at the part of the fight where Cap’s arm is magnetized to the wall.

The Winter Soldier had by far the best fights per-capita of any of the Captain America films, and we’re really hoping we get some more greatness with Cap’s appearance in Infinity War.
