Behold the Glory of a Working Cheddar Cheese Rubik’s Cube

Somehow, we doubt ErnÅ‘ Rubik could have ever foreseen the day one of his signature Rubik’s Cubes could be made into an edible puzzle. But it’s happened. Tony Fisher has created a fully functional Rubik’s Cube out of blocks of cheddar cheese with colored pins on each side of the cubes. Despite Fisher’s stated disappointment that his latest creation is only a 2x2x2 puzzle laid on top of another puzzle, we still think it’s impressive.

Via Laughing Squid, Fisher made the cheddar cheese Rubik’s Cube in response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback he received for his ice Rubik’s Cube. In the ’80s, solving a Rubik’s Cube was often used as shortcut to demonstrate intelligence in fiction. But Fisher is a legitimate Rubik’s Cube genius who has been creating his own variations on the design for almost four decades. Fisher’s YouTube channel is filled with videos showing off his creations, including this candle Rubik’s Cube he solved while it was still burning.

The rest of the videos on Fisher’s channel explore how he creates his Rubik’s Cubes, in addition to his reviews of other complex Rubik’s Cubes made by other experts. For more information about Fisher’s Rubik’s Cubes and other custom puzzles, visit his official site. Fisher also has a store where you can buy some of his creations and books.

What do you think about Fisher’s variations on Rubik’s Cube? Let’s discuss in the comment section below!
