Doctor Strange

Just two day until Comic-Con 2016—a.k.a. Nerd Prom, a.k.a Geek Mardi Gras, a.k.a. Dweeb Coachella, a.k.a. Christmas in July—begins! So let’s start this week off with an advance look at one of the most highly anticipated films to appear at the Con, the big-screen debut of Marvel’s one and only Sorcerer Supreme, the mystic mage himself: Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange! Here’s a sneak peek at the exclusive poster that will debut in San Diego for the film…

Doctor Strange

Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton (a.k.a. lots of people we like), Doctor Strange will casts its spell on November 4, 2016 in 3D and IMAX 3D.

Suicide Squad

I can’t recall the last DC Comics movie I was looking forward to as much as David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Because the August 5 release looks like the first of Warner Bros’ burgeoning DC Extended Universe films that successfully welds the studio’s favored grimdark aesthetic to a suitable subject matter. Plus, it’s got the Joker and Harley Friggin’ Quinn! Here’s a plethora of new character vignettes that showcase each and every member of the Squad in grand funkadelic fashion.

Fast 8

F. Gary Gray is at it again, sharing video straight from the set of Fast 8. This time, in what has become a weekly event, the director and his cast (including Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez) give us a look at the film’s “toy shop,” housing damn near every conceivable kind of vehicle, from sports car to tank to helicopter. Oh, how I want to go to there…

Descendants 2

We’ve got the first teaser for the Disney Channel’s Descendants sequel. In this next installment of the adventures of the classic Disney villains’ offspring, fans will be introduced to a brand new descendant: the daughter of The Little Mermaid‘s Ursula the Sea Witch, Uma! Played by China Anne McClain, she’ll join Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Evie (daughter of Snow White‘s Evil Queen), Carlos (son of Cruella de Vil), and Jay (son of Jafar) in the musical fantasy sequel, again directed by Kenny Ortega for a 2017 premiere. Enjoy!
