When it comes to the internet-driven musical revolution, few can match up to the epicness of hip-hop violinist, Lindsey Stirling. With amazing rhythm, great dance moves, and highly catchy melodies, the former Americaâs Got Talent contestant has certainly made a name for herself over the last couple of years.
Odds are youâve seen one or two Stirling videos in recent months. Her video âCrystallizeâ took YouTube by storm last year, and following a hefty around the world tour, everyoneâs favorite violinist is back with a bunch of new videos for us. The latest is some of her best work yet.
Magical violins, Diglett, UFOs, giant boulders, cupcakes… whatâs not to love in this video? Thanks to the amazing SFX work of PlayfightVFX, Random Acts of Violin has become one of Stirlingâs most far-out and hilarious videos to date. I thought Diglett was a nice touch that really gets across the point of how far-out this video was going to be.
There are far too many amazing Stirling videos to simply pick one to feature, so do yourself a favor and head over to her YouTube page to check them out for yourself.
Lindsey Stirling is AWESOME!!!!! Bravo Lindsey, your beautiful talent has inspired millions, including myself. I want to learn how to play the violin just like Lindsey. Lindsey ROCKS…………
And as for those who say Lindsey isn’t a violinist, your wrong, she’s top # 1 for the world’s best violinist.
Keep up the amazing work Lindsey………….doing what you love.
That’s my girl!!!
Seriously, if you have heard of Lindsey Stirling by now you are a horrible nerd. I’m not putting her on a pedestal either, I’m just saying that as far as the internet is concerned, she’s nothing new. haha
Even my non nerd friends are now listening to her on “CD” in their car.
Funny bow angles and non-traditional left hand or not, people really like her.
Do funny bow angles and non-traditional left hand help facilitate her dance moves?
As a professional violinist, I cannot condone that left hand or bow angle. *looks away in pain* And yes, I’ve heard her music.
A friend of mine introduced me to her work a few years ago. If she had been around when I was in the 6th grade I would still be playing the violin.
I second that want.
Lindsey Stirling sort of looks like a daughter of Allison Hannigan.
sort of.
I want to see Lindsey and Emilie Autumn do a violin Thunderdome.
