Where there’s Smoak, there’s… NYPD Blue‘s Charlotte Ross?

Arrow fans longing for the background story of Emily Bett Rickards’ hugely popular character, Felicity Smoak, will be rewarded when the upcoming third season’s fifth episode, “Oracle,” airs in early November. As part of our glimpse of the super-hacker’s past, we’ll get to meet Felicity’s mom, who the CW has just announced will be played by Charlotte Ross.

Last seen by genre fans in a violently amorous encounter with a gun-toting, revenge-thirsty Nicolas Cage in Drive Angry, Ross has recently enjoyed stints on Hit the Floor and Glee. But the blonde stunner appears to be especially proud of her latest role. Ross tweeted the following earlier today:
