Celebrate the Bizarre, Tempestuous Love of ORPHAN BLACK’s Donnie and Alison Hendrix

Sometimes, opposites attract. Others? Don’t even realize how similar they are until their true two peas in a pod-hood comes startlingly into the light. Weirdly, the former and the latter seem to be the case for every Clone Clubber’s favorite dysfunctional matriarch and patriarch, Donnie and Alison Hendrix. The Orphan Black duo are the definition of a messed-up love story and this latest video ode to their love is definitive proof of that.

I mean these two really ran the gamut with what they put each other through: spying for the DYAD, being a clone, keeping up a secret life to keep your clone wife (that you have no idea is a clone, WOOOOPS) none the wiser, drinking oneself into oblivion, the old porn stash bait and switch, and — of course! — the hot glue gun incident. Nothin’ says lovin’ like a bit of casual, at-home DIY torture tactics to find out what your husband/monitor knows about your very existence.

Thankfully, things changed for the Hendrixes after — spoiler alert? — the duo realized they were both really good at being accidental murderer types, killing those that they perceived to have been wronging them all along (R.I.P. Aynsley and Dr. Leekie). And I mean the couple that commits manslaughter together stays together, you know? How’s that for crazy science, Cosima, eh?

Naturally, where we left things off at the end of season two has us all the more excited to see our newly reunited power couple and how their reignited passion for one another plays out in season three. Will Donnie join the Clone Club? Fingers crossed.

What’s your favorite Donnie/Alison moment? Leave it for us in the comments (and bonus points for GIFs).
