2015 marks thirty years since the release of Clue, one of the best crime comedies ever, and also the only film to properly find a way to adapt a board game into a feature film. Bringing together an all-star cast including the likes of Tim Curry, Madeline Khan, Christopher Lloyd, and Eileen Brennan, the film is a screwball adventure in whodunit when a dinner party turns into the scene of a murder. To celebrate the anniversary of this film, Gallery 1988Â has offered a gallery of artwork from various artists to enjoy, and purchase if more or more take your fancy. The artwork is all over the spectrum of style and creativity from 3D wall art, prints, and sculptures that also very from the amazing likenesses to cartoon representations and even some abstract concepts.
Some of my favorites include the cartoon bust of Tim Curry’s Wadsworth holding all of the weapons on a silver tray called “A Butler Buttles” by Blain Hefner, the almost Pixar-esque series by Jeff Delgado called “The Usual Suspects,” and the infographic print called “Alt. Endings” by Steve Thomas that lays out how each ending of the film by who did it where and with what. We included a few different pieces in the gallery below, but be sure to head over to the shop to see all that they have to offer. Be warned, some pieces are already sold out, so if you are interested you may have to act fast.
Which piece is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
