Considered a true classic by anyone asked, in the spring of next year, CBS is planning to revive the Neil Simon hit, The Odd Couple, in the form of a new sitcom that will star Matthew Perry and Nerdist favorite, Tom Lennon. But the big question regarding the news has been when we can expect to see the new Felix and Oscar on screen. Well, as of this afternoon, we have our answer.
In a new announcement that also confirmed the series finale date of Two and a Half Men, the network set the series premiere date of the new sitcom for February 19, 2015Â at 8:30pm, which will be followed the hour long series finale of the aforementioned Chuck Lorre comedy.
Honestly, we canât wait for this one because Lennon is a brilliant casting choice for neat freak Felix Unger. In fact, we can just picture the comedic gold Lennon will bring to the table. Just the idea of him trying to keep Perry’s Oscar from turning his living space into complete disarray is fantastic, even without seeing a single piece of footage. Not to mention that, if Tom Lennonâs involved, we have no doubt there will be many laughs to be had.
It will also be interesting to see how the comedian plays off Matthew Perry, whoâs serving as co-writer and executive producer on the show. For now, all we can do is sit back and wait for some clips to drop.
The Odd Couple premieres February 19, 2015Â at 8:30pm on CBS.

I cannot describe in words how much my heart and soul are absolutely ready for this.
I’m kinda irked that Matthew Perry’s Oscar is dressed exactly like I dress most weekends, i.e. the way my parents hate it when I dress like that, and yet he still looks better in it than I do.
I am so excited about this!!!!! I love Matthew Perry and Tom Lennon is pretty great too.
I’m a bit sceptical but they were both great in 17 Again (even though they only had a few scenes together) so this could work out really well. Can’t help but think it might feel a bit too old-fashioned, though.
So, this is exciting and may be the comedy gold we’ve been waiting for. Love Tom Lennon, love Matthew Perry, and I can see this being a great show. What will sink it? A laugh track. Laugh tracks kill comedy. its science.
Holy Hell Yes! Tom Lennon can play a neat freak. I just hope that he will still have time to lend his voice when needed, to more episodes of Archer.
Mila did it with That 70’s Show and Family Guy.
