DC‘s Young Animal imprint has been pushing the boundaries of what we expect to see from monthly comics, and it was with a heavy heart that we learned the line would be winding down later this year. But until then we’ll be making the most of the radical line! We were lucky enough to get an exclusive sneak preview of Cave Carson Has An Interstellar Eye #3, and Jon Rivera, Michael Avon Oeming, Nick Filardi, and Clem Robbins have put together another super surreal and special issue as we continue to pursue the mystery of the Lazer Monks.
Their adventures look to be as weird as ever as Cave and his fellow intrepid travelers embark on a journey into the past, as the group attempts to understand more about the mysterious Lazer Monks, who think Cave is their long lost leader.
Rivera, Oeming, and Filardi have created a vibrant visual landscape that successfully and viscerally sets this new arc of Cave apart from the beloved flagship Young Animal series Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye, whilst continuing the titular hero’s adventures.
Cave Carson Has An Interstellar Eye #3 looks to be another expansive and exciting addition to the adventure, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the full issue when it hits comic shops on Wednesday, May 16.
Have you been keeping up with Cave Carson and his interstellar eye? Just can’t wait to find out more about the Lazer Monks? Saddened that Young Animal’s radical reign is winding down? Let us know below!
