For those of us who grew up in the ’90s, Will Friedle meant something to us in one of two ways. For many, he will always first and foremost the voice of Terry McGinnis from the DC animated cartoon Batman Beyond. For others, he’s the bumbling yet kind-hearted Eric Matthews from ABC’s Boy Meets World. Will has reprised this role in the Disney Channel spinoff series Girl Meets World, and somehow his character worked his way into becoming a New York senator.

Senator Matthews has decided to take his political career into its next phase, and as the above campaign video shows, he is now in the running for President of the United States. It’s odd for someone to begin his campaign mere days before the election, but it looks like Eric was preoccupied with his current job, as he JUST found out there was an election occurring. Better late than never, I guess.

While I am not sure if this is considered political corruption or not, it seems the campaign is funded by the senate themselves as a way to get Eric to stop eating all of the senate’s food. I am if sure we looked through the history books, this wouldn’t exactly be the WORST platform to base a campaign around. Oh, and if you plan on supporting Eric this year, make sure you write him in, as he was only put on the ballot in two U.S. territories.
