Casey Affleck Lets the Bullets Fly in New TRIPLE 9 Clip (Exclusive)

Here’s a hot tip: if you’re on the run from the police, don’t shoot at them because they will shoot back. That’s exactly what happens in our exclusive clip from the upcoming action-thriller Triple 9: when a tattooed gangster starts hightailing it away from police officers Chris Allen (Casey Affleck), Marcus Belmont (Anthony Mackie) and the members of their squad, the bullets start flying. However, what Allen and his teammates didn’t bargain for is that the gun-toting goon they’re chasing has backup of his own. While pursuing the perp on foot, they soon find themselves in a hellacious, hectic gun battle — one from which they will be hard-pressed to escape.

This small slice of director John Hillcoat‘s Triple 9 gives a sense of the visceral violence that awaits viewers come February 26. The heist thriller includes Kate Winslet as a Russian mobster, Norman Reedus and Aaron Paul as bank-robbing brothers, and Anthony Mackie and Casey Affleck as an unlikely pair of partners hot on their case — in other words, everything I never knew I wanted until now. With police corruption, betrayal, and a bit of the good old fashioned ultra-violence, Triple 9 looks to pack a punch, thanks in no small part to its all-star cast.
