Cartoon Network Characters Get the Vinyl Touch as Awesome Blind-Boxed Toys

Move over, other collectible vinyl characters! These new figures by Titan Merchandise are a Cartoon Network fan’s dream come true.

Okay, so maybe don’t move but maybe just scooch over a bit and share some shelf space with these awesome 3-inch vinyls. According to a recent post by Action Figure Insider, the collection will be available toward the end of July 2016 (Hrmm… methinks thinks just in time for a certain comic book convention) and will feature characters from some of the most popular Cartoon Network series.CartoonTitans1051416

From the perfectly coiffed hair of Johnny Bravo to the iron jaw of Samurai Jack, these vinyls are surely going to be coveted by the show’s fans and general collectors alike. What adds to the excitement of these collectibles is that they’ll all be blind-boxed so you won’t know who you’ll get from shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, Steven Universe, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Samurai Jack and Uncle Grandpa until you open them. There definitely seems to be a level of sincere love of the source material here, as seen in one particular detail: the promotional picture for the figures has Dexter’s name obstructed by the coolest hair-do around which speaks volumes (get it!?) to the vanity and clueless nature of Johnny’s character.

Most of these figures are absolutely spot-on with their animated counterparts, but it’s weird how a few of them look a bit off when rendered in three dimensions. Particularly Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show. My nightmares have a new mascot and his name is 3-D Rigby; Eater of Souls. 3DRigby051416
