Captain Jack Sparrow Surprises Kids at Children’s Hospital

A few months ago, Chris Pratt and Chris Evans had a Super Bowl bet that EVERYBODY won, and it resulted in visits to Seattle and Boston area children’s hospitals by Captain America and Star-Lord, respectively.

Well, apologies if your heartstrings just got set back to their normal position, because they are about to get pulled yet again. Johnny Depp took time out of his schedule from filming the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie to visit Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Australia. Well, let’s clarify. CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW visited Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Australia. He brought along with him faithful companion Scrum (Stephen Graham). The day was spent full of pictures, hugs, and all-around goofiness with everyone’s favorite pirate. As you can see from the pictures below, everyone was thrilled to see him.

This is not the first time Depp has done something like this, and I hope it won’t be the last. The look on the kids’ faces when they see him is absolutely priceless. It shows that, regardless of how we may sometimes feel about celebrity in general, there are those out there with their priorities in order.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be in theatres July 7, 2017.
