The Arizona Diamondbacks arenât playing around when it comes to stadium food. Their new spring dessert looks like it jumped out of a basket from an episode of Chopped. The Churro Dog starts out with a Long John chocolate-glazed donut sliced lengthwise. Nestled inside is a warm cinnamon sugar churro which is topped with frozen yogurt and then drizzled with both caramel and chocolate sauces. If youâre keeping score at home, the estimated calorie count for The Churro Dog is 1,117. Yum.

In the intense Arizona heat, dessert tends to do well sales-wise and by looking at this, thereâs no doubt that they wanted to hit the hearts and cavities of all the sweet tooths in the crowd. Itâs surprising that this dessert monstrosity only costs $8, a veritable bargain compared to the Diamondback’s last foray into extreme concession stand food, the D-Bat Dog: an 18-inch corndog stuffed with jalapenos and cheese, wrapped in bacon, and served with a side of fries that clocked in at $25.
Food is a huge part of the sports fan experience at any game, and this definitely will have people talking… and busting out their selfie-sticks for that perfect Churro Dog Instagram photo. And if all that sweet caloric intake is just a tad too much, donât worry… you can always order a Diet Coke to go with it.
First Taco Bell releases those Cap’n Crunch balls and now this? Should I just have the doctor take my foot now or wait until the Type II does it for real?
