With the release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare just around the corner, Activision has revealed the official launch trailer. Check it out:
“What you’re seeing is advanced warfare,” says Kevin Spacey’s character Jonathan Irons in the newest action packed trailer for Sledgehammer Games’ upcoming entry in the Call of Duty series. Indeed we are Kevin Spacey, indeed we are.
With Sledgehammer Games–who also worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3–at the helm in the first COD project developed on Activision’s new 3 year development plan, we can hopefully expect a project with a bit more polish on it. From the looks of the trailer above, we’ll be getting a Call of Duty experience unlike any other.
Speaking about the development time frame, Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey stated, “I think that was really what the extra year gave us, the chance to break a few things. To maybe alienate a few ideas to bring Sledgehammer’s take to Call of Duty and maybe push boundaries further than people were comfortable with and then pull it back if we went to far.”
The additional time has given the developers the opportunity to bring futuristic exosuits–think Edge of Tomorrow and Elysium–into the fold. One of the best things about this new addition is that it revolutionizes the way we play COD in both the campaign and multiplayer modes.Â
The all-new movement system allows players to chain together boost actions like jump, dodge and dash. In addition to that the revamped Create-a-Class give you the ability to equip new abilities and armaments. Check out this episode of Nerdist Play for more thoughts on the upcoming title.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to launch November 4, 2014 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC. Remember, if you pre-order the Day Zero Edition now, you’ll get up to 24 hours early access!
