Build Your Own EDGE OF TOMORROW Battle Suit

2014’s Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, is one of the best action films in recent years. The mix of action, great storytelling and just the right amount of humor makes it one of the best time looping movies since Groundhog Day. It’s a tough choice between which is better because one had a substantial amount of robotic suits, futuristic weaponry, and bad-ass aliens, while the other had 1000% more Bill Murray. Tough call.

A testament to any great action flick is what the fans do with the material afterwards. If costumes show up during Halloween or beyond, then the movie has likely earned it’s staying power. But extra bonus points if the costumes are as intricate as Brooklyn artist and cosplayer Peter Kokis’ Edge of Tomorrowinspired battle suit. The best part? It’s constructed with everyday household objects.

If you feel so inclined to make your own, Kokis’ website lists just a few of the items that went into the 134 lb “Brooklyn Exo Soldier” suit. So if you’re headed to the store you’ll need, 52 velcro straps, thermos parts, and a digital voltmeter to name a few things.

Clearly the guy knows what he’s doing if he can make such an amazing costume out of all that. Not to mention the time and patience that goes into a build like this. Take a look at the gallery below for more of Kokis’ suit and his website where he’s built other suits like Alien-inspired Xenomorph armor, or this incredible Pacific Rim Crimson Typhoon Jaeger!
