Bryan Cranston Celebrates His ‘Super Sweet 60’ on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!

For over three decades, Bryan Cranston has been an actor’s actor. But it’s only been in the last 16 years that Cranston has broken out to become a superstar, first in a comedic role on Malcolm in the Middle and then an unforgettable dramatic turn in Breaking Bad. Cranston was even nominated for the best actor Oscar earlier this year for his title role in Trumbo. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, however, Cranston stepped up for his toughest part to date: a spoiled teenager going-on-60.

In a hilarious spoof of MTV’s My Super Sweet 16, Cranston played himself as an incredibly selfish narcissist who still lives with his parents, Bea and Ryan Cranston. We’re pretty sure that those weren’t actually Cranston’s parents, but just go with it. Someone at JKL also threw in a great sight gag during the opening scene, as a box of Gustav-O’s can be seen on the dining table.

Kimmel got in on the fun as party planner Jimby Kimble, with the always faithful Guillermo as Guillermo the crown handler. (Guillermo is almost always Guillermo, no matter the sketch.) A couple of familiar faces from Breaking Bad also showed up, including Bob Odenkirk as Cranston’s BFF, Charles Baker (Skinny Pete, yo!), and of course, Aaron Paul.

Forget about Walter White; this is the greatest monster that Cranston has ever portrayed. He even calls upon his ability to fake cry on command whenever diva Cranston doesn’t get his way! It’s just a brilliant sketch and well worth watching.
