Bruce Yan Brings Pop Culture Twist to Gallery 1988

On Saturday, February 1st, Gallery 1988 (East) welcomed artist Bruce Yan for his first ever solo show. Featuring original pieces and limited edition prints, Bruce Yan’s “Brand New: Iconic Brands with a Pop Culture Twist” celebrated its opening Saturday night with Bruce Yan himself, as well as some free giveaways.

The gallery features a mash-up of famous pop culture characters integrated with instantly recognizable brands. (Think: “Miyazaki Salt.”) Pretty nifty stuff. Check out the gallery below for a look at some of Bruce Yan’s latest work.

Artwork is on sale now at the Gallery 1988 website, and will be on display through February 22nd, 2014. Gallery 1988 (East) is located at 7021 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
