Bruce Campbell Takes Over the Weather and Traffic Reports on GOOD DAY CHICAGO

Is there anything that can’t be improved by added Bruce Campbell to the mix? The answer, of course, is a resounding “No!”

Earlier this month, Campbell made an appearance on Chicago’s Fox affiliate, Channel 32’s Good Day Chicago to promote the long running Wizard World Chicago Comic Con. But it’s simply a waste of Campbell’s talents to put him on live TV and not utilize him! And soon enough, Campbell joined meteorologist Mark Strehl for an impromptu weather report.

Not even the Groovy One can master every skill instantly, and Campbell did appear to have a hard time figuring out where to point and where to stand. And yet it still looks like he was having a great time.

When Channel 32 traffic reporter Jenny Milkowski asked how she could possibly follow Campbell’s appearance, he simply joined her for the traffic report as well! And this time, Milkowski let Campbell play around with the handheld device that controlled the traffic imagery behind them.

Campbell is a regular guest on the Wizard World Comic Con circuit and several other conventions. He’s also the host of CONtv’s Last Fan Standing, which is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund a second season. And there’s still a long way to go before Campbell and CONtv reach their fundraising goal!

Among genre fans, Campbell is best known for his roles in The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Burn Notice, and The Evil Dead trilogy. This fall, Campbell is reprising his role as Ash Williams on Starz’ original series, Ash vs. Evil Dead. That series will premiere on Saturday, October 31st.

Nerdist readers, what did you think about Campbell’s local news appearance? Does it compare to Onyx’s Detroit news interview?  Give us the throw and share your opinions below!
