As far as new comedies go, few can deny that one of the best offerings of last season was Foxâs police station set, workplace comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Now, with a fancy Golden Globe win under its belt, the Andy Samberg-starring series is setting its sights on the big prize: the Emmy for Best Comedy, a title held by Modern Family since its freshman season. You think outside the box, which is exactly what the Fox comedy has done in its newest round of Emmy âfor your considerationâ ads.
According to Deadline, in order to build some traction as ballots start to be sent out, the network has commissioned a food truck to drive around Los Angeles handing out coffee and donuts to voting and non-voting members of the public alike. For today, the truck will see cast member Joe Lo Truglio (Boyle) on board to help hand out various food stuffs while the truck makes its way through downtown L.A., Mid-Wilshire, Century Cityâs Farmerâs Market, Beverly Hills and West L.A..
Honestly, we wish every series was this cool. Who doesnât want free coffee and donuts ever? Well, probably Captain Holt, but heâs not human, this is a known fact. The rest of us normies will totally take a free donut though.
