Breakfast With Lego

Did someone say “more Lego?” Because there’s this:

Yes, it’s a Lego pancake bot, dropping pancake batter on a griddle in Mickey Mouse and truck shapes. The bot was made from Lego Mindstorms — those programmable robotic things — and Lego bricks and a couple of emptied ketchup bottles. I could actually use one of these bots, because I have difficulty pouring pancake batter with accuracy and… oh, who am I kidding? It’s Lego, it’s pancakes, it’s the combination of two of the things that make life special. I don’t NEED it, but, come on, it’s a Lego pancake bot. Totally worth clearing out space in the kitchen to deploy.

  1. Nicole Wakelin says:

I can flip that truck, no problem. All I need are a couple of those Darth Vader spatulas from William-Sonoma and a little time with my own Lego Mindstorm. It would be the ultimate power in the pancake-verse!!!

  2. Spider_Dude says:

I loved it best when the music synched with the whirring cogs! Love em Lego doohickeys!

  3. Katie says:

Did anyone else immediately think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the dad’s kitchen-wide breakfast machines? This is like a pancake-specific, Lego version of it!

  4. Myles says:

You do realize, of course, that Dinsey lawyers are now figuring out a way to sue the pants off the creator of this little toy?

Awesome though. I wish that I had something like this to play with in the morning before heading out to the unemployment line.

  5. That Guy says:

Reminds me of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.

  6. Randy says:

I want to see him flip that truck. It’s impossible, I tell you!
