BOB’S BURGERS Renewed for Two More Seasons

Alllriiight! This makes me want to bust out my Linda Belcher voice and sing “Pass the cranberry sauce, we’re having mashed potatoes!” Bob’s Burgers is getting a confirmed renewal for both a seventh and an eighth season! Fox Broadcasting Company president David Madden made the announcement today and we are thrilled there will be two more seasons of Belcher antics in addition to the current sixth season, which only just got started!

From today’s announcement, the Fox president had the following to say:

“Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America’s most beloved TV families, and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons,” said Madden. “Bob’s Burgers is hilarious, warm, smart, inventive – critics love it, and so do fans. Loren, Jim and the brilliant voice cast continue to surprise us in the best ways, and we look forward to seeing what Bob and the family will cook up in Seasons Seven and Eight.”

The series has picked up steam among viewers and critics since its initial 13-episode first season. Every season since the third has broadcast at least 21 episodes, so there’s good reason to assume we can expect at least that many from seasons six, seven, and eight. The newest episode of season six premiering Sunday night, “The Land Ship”, will see a parade come to Bob’s street where Tina will find a new crush, and the placement of two of the parade’s port-o-potties will, naturally, be right in front of the titular burger shop. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jimmy Pesto was somehow behind that inconvenient zoning decision.

The 100th episode of Bob’s Burgers will also be taking place during this current season, which will finally place it in syndication-eligible territory. The show has even spawned its own comic book series, the fourth issue of which was just released today and features a hilarious short based on Tina’s Erotic Friend Fiction.

Are you as excited as I am that the Belchers will be continuing their antics for the foreseeable future? Sound off below, or with us on Twitter!
