Blink-182 Re-Releasing Four Albums on Cassette Because of Course

Blink-182 was arguably the most popular band in the late 90s/early 2000s that didn’t fall into the category of “boy band” or “rock/rap combo band.” Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker’s pop-punk sound found their way on TRL almost every week during that time.

Now, old fans that loved them and new fans that want to check them out for the first time will have their chance as four of Blink-182’s albums are getting a re-release. There’s a catch, though, and it will require either a trip to the thrift store or a trip up into the attic.

Blink182 Tapes

Srcvinyl will be releasing Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show, and Blink-182 for 11.99 each, on CASSETTE. Yes, that’s right – cassette tape. There was no way tapes were going to let vinyl have all the fun, were they?

For fans of the band, all four cassettes are great additions to any collection. For the uninitiated, I recommend The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show. It’s a live album that acts as somewhat of a “Greatest Hits” for the band, and can definitely help you determine whether Blink-182 is for you.

You can pre-order all four cassettes on Srcvinyl’s website here. You can also pick up a cassette repair kit at any Target. Head to the school supply section and buy a pack of pencils. You’re set for life.

So what do you think? Are you ready to pull out your old boombox and rock out to Blink-182? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
