Blink-182 Performed Their Classic Punk-Pop Jam “What’s My Age Again?” on COLBERT

Something strange and beautiful has happened in the world of entertainment over the past few days: We’re somehow back in the late ’90s again. The world is obsessed with Pokémon and Blink-182 are one more on the top of the charts.

Blink-182 is also back at the top of late night television, as they took to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to perform their classic 1999 single “What’s My Age Again?” for a web-exclusive video. This isn’t your father’s Blink-182, though: Singer and founding member Tom DeLonge left the group to tell the world the truth about extraterrestrial life forms… but let’s not forget that half-time lead singer Mark Hoppus is still with the group, so “What’s My Age Again?” still sounds very much like it was intended to. And it sure hasn’t gotten old 17 years later.

The band is atop the Billboard charts in 2016 for a reason, though: they’re not resting on their laurels. With new member Matt Skiba (also of Alkaline Trio) in tow, the band also performed “Bored To Death,” the lead single from their just-released album California, during the broadcast, and it rocks just like the band used to. Skiba is a natural fit with the group: Alkaline Trio was also a prominent punk rock group in the late ’90s, so him being a part of Blink-182 isn’t exactly a stretch.

Were you a Blink-182 fan back in the day? What was your favorite of their neopunk anthems? Let us know!
