BIOSHOCK INFINITE Barbershop Quartet Cosplayers Sing ‘God Only Knows’

Like to sing and wear costumes? There’s a cosplay made for that combination. In BioShock Infinite, a barbershop quartet appears in the game on a flying barge. The quartet is voiced by A Mighty Wind, and they sing tunes like “Tainted Love” and the Beach Boys “God Only Knows.” You know, all the classics from 1912. It’s fitting, though, since the act is billed as “Tomorrow’s music today.”

One cosplay group at PAX East last weekend not only dressed in barbershop quartet costumes from the video game, they stopped in various places around the convention to perform. They do a great rendition of “God Only Knows,” and the dedication on display here is impressive. They sing the entire song! I’m floored.

If you haven’t seen the original cover from the game, it’s an entertaining watch:

What do you think — should these guys go on tour or what? Let us know if you’d buy tickets to see their show in the comments.

That was horrible. Brian Wilson is rolling in his grave.

(yes I am aware that at this particular point in time Brian Wilson is alive, and a goddamn genius.)

They did a great job! And, by the way, in case you didn’t know the reason “Tainted Love” and “God Only Knows” show up in Columbia, it’s because Fink used tears to listen in on future music and have a relative of his plagiarize it. (This is explained in one of the harder-to-find Audio Diaries.)

Wow! I would love to see them
