This Friday, Marvelâs new Daredevil series hits Netflix, making it the perfect time to stay home, binge watch, and use up all those leftover Easter Eggs.
Daredevil-ed eggs are perfectly boiled eggs that, with just a few key ingredients, are made into savory deviled eggs. Cut out a Daredevil logo and use it for a stencil to recreate the symbol in paprika, or if you’re Matt Murdock, challenge your heightened senses and use some cayenne pepper.
Close up the Nelson and Murdock offices and settle in: itâs almost time for an eggcellent Daredevil viewing party!
Daredevil-ed Eggs
(makes 12)
ingredients:
– 6 eggs
– 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
– ½ teaspoon yellow mustard
– dash of cayenne pepper
– salt and pepper to taste
– paprika for decoration
Carefully place eggs into a large saucepan and cover with 1-2 inches of water.
Bring the pan to a boil then turn off the heat. Cover with a lid, and let sit undisturbed for 12 minutes.
When the 12 minutes are up, drain the eggs and immediately place them in an ice bath to cool. Keep in the fridge until ready to use.
Shell the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise, placing the cooked yolks in a separate bowl.
To the yolks, add the mayonnaise, mustard, cayenne, salt and pepper. Stir until combied.
Place the mixture in a piping bag or plastic bag with the end cut off and pipe into the egg whites. Flatten out the mixture slightly with an offset spatula.
Cut a 1-1-/4″ tall printout of the Daredevil logo and place it over the egg. Sprinkle with paprika (or cayenne if youâre bold) then remove the template to reveal the logo.
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
