Mondo Unleashes BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA Soundtrack on Vinyl

John Carpenter‘s Big Trouble in Little China was not a box office hit when it was released in theaters in 1986. However, it’s gone on to become one of Carpenter’s most beloved films and a cult classic that found its audience on home video and cable. Memorable performances by the cast, including Kurt Russell as Jack Burton helped Big Trouble in Little China stand out from the crowd. Now, the film’s soundtrack is getting its time in the spotlight, thanks to a new release from Mondo.

Mondo is set to sell the original soundtrack for Big Trouble in Little China as two extra-length LPs. This will be the first time the score has been available on vinyl for over 30 years. Carpenter composed the soundtrack, in association with Alan Howarth. For the new release, James Plotkin has remastered the music.

Each of the two LPs is pressed on 180 Gram Red vinyl with an added splatter pattern and an image of the film’s Floating Eyeball Monster on the back. Phantom City Creative provided the new interior artwork featuring the film’s villain, David Lo Pan.

Mondo will officially release the new Big Trouble in Little China 2XLP soundtrack on Wednesday, August 1. The price will be $35, and you can find more information about it on Mondo’s site.
