One of my favorite things about “Big Pop Fun” are Tom’s intros. I had no idea who Ben Scott was, but that intro makes me think, “Wow! Cool! I’m curious to hear this conversation now!” I wish the Nerdist podcast had some intros like that to really rev me up for guests I don’t know / don’t care about. I’m more likely to listen to the whole episode with a really good introduction like Tom gives.
modern exception to “nobody does all their own stunts” is cage fighter turned action star Gina Carano. So far, She wasn’t allowed to take one fall for insurance purposes.
One notable near-exception to “nobody does all their own stunts” was James Garner, but then he was exceptional(there’s a stunt car move named for him, fer pete’s sake), and he paid for it with his health.
