Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ Choreography Visits Duckburg in a DUCKTALES Mashup

In this humble nerd’s opinion, there is none such perfect a cartoon theme song as the one from Disney’s Ducktales. The show was an expansion into the family of the Mickey Mouse’s comrade Donald Duck, and featured such characters as Uncle Scrooge McDuck, nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, niece Webby, and became the launching pad (Launchpad McQuack reference) to another of Disney’s morning and afternoon cartoon hits, Darkwing Duck.

The synth bass line to the theme song is a fail-proof way to instigate a good mood, and YouTuber TheBaronessIsAwesome decided to share outside of Good Friends Podcast’s original Tumblr post that funky bass line, and the rest of the song obviously, with the award-winning choreography from Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” music video. It meshes together pretty damn well, and it makes me wonder how many other Disney Afternoon classics it might sync as well to; the Gummi Bears theme song perhaps? Or maybe the TailSpin theme?

We covered the awesome news earlier this year that Disney XD is bringing a brand new DuckTales series to air in 2017! It’s gonna suck pretty *quacking* hard to wait that long for new adventures in Duckburg, but nonetheless we’re getting new DuckTales goodness and that is so very rad! The re-release and HD upgrade of the original NES DuckTales game was a huge boon for fans (even if the original awesome score wasn’t given as much care as the visuals) in the form of DuckTales: Remastered. That game can currently be found in the online stores of the Wii U, Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3, among other fine retail outlets.

How do you feel about this holy alliance of two pop culture greats? What other retro theme songs would you like to see paired up with Beyoncé’s choreography? Let us know in the comments!
