When last we heard word from AMC’s highly anticipated Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, the series has been renewed for a second season, but was also delayed until the first quarter of 2015. One of the bigger questions surrounding the Bob Odenkirk starring series is what cast members from the hit original series would be appearing in the spin-off. Much of the current talk has indicated the series would be a prequel, meaning a lot of currently dead people are still alive. But of course, if you go too far back, you can’t include people like Walter White because he wouldn’t have had reason to cross paths with Saul yet. Well, it seems thanks to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, everyone’s indeed on the table all thanks to a timeline clarification.

Series creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan have confirmed the new series will be jumping around in time, covering points in Saul’s life before, during and after the events of Breaking Bad. This means we could be crossing into multiple point of time within the Emmy winning show. So yes, there is totally potential for Walter White to show up in a plausible manner.

Not that we want to the series to become a Marvel-style cameo fest, but it is a relief to know that some old favorite can indeed show up in a reasonable context now. It will also be interesting to see where Saul ended up after he left town at the end of Breaking Bad.
