Bethesda To Host First Ever E3 Conference

Bethesda confirmed earlier this morning that they will be hosting their own E3 press conference on June 14, 2015, the day before Sony, EA, Microsoft and Ubisoft host conferences of their own.

While most people are taking this as #Fallout4confirmed, the publisher has a lot of other exciting games and possible announcements on the way. With everything up in the air at the moment, we know one thing for certain: we will most definitely be seeing more on the Doom reboot. While Quake Con guests were given a sneak peak into what is on its way for the franchise last year, the rest of the public remains pretty much in a dark corridor with no ammo at the moment.

The other rumor that’s been circulating for quite some time is that the sequel to Arkane Studios’ and Bethesda Softworks’ hit action-adventure stealth title Dishonored is coming soon. After several leaks, we know the project is pretty far along so it wouldn’t be surprising to finally get an official reveal. The fact that Bethesda is hosting an E3 conference for the first time means they have several exciting things up their sleeves. Whether it will be in relation to Fallout, Doom, Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls, Rage or even a new IP, it will be interesting to see what the Maryland-based company is cooking up.

Though the other conferences will be limited to members of the media, Bethesda will be offering fans an opportunity to attend theirs. They promise to reveal more in the coming months on how you can register and attend. If making the trek out to L.A. for the event sounds like too much, or you can’t score a seat, don’t worry. The publisher noted that they will be streaming the event on their Twitch channel as well.

I have been saying for years, make Fallout 4 set in Detroit. With the auto economy dying, the gov comes fwd to the auto shops and says, “We’ll pay you to stop making cars and make mechs/robots to protect the USA because of an attack on the horizon from China.” This ties into the creation of Liberty Prime and can introduce new designs. You could have multiple broken down mechs around that just have parts but are there mainly for show and not for use but have 1 or 2 that can be repaired if you get the right NPC’s on your side like an engineer, electrician, USMC armorer etc. They can help you build/modify your mech. But, much of the game is inaccessible by mech so you can’t go all god mode in your mech everywhere. You have to get out to fight or explore in smaller area’s or in buildings/caves etc. The boss could have a Chinese mech. Half the fight is mech based and once they crash, you have to jump out and go after each other, face to face.

After exhausting Dragon Age: Inquisition (and 100+ hours of my life), I could not be more excited for a Fallout 4 reveal. Location/basic story/new weapons/better physics and graphics engine – give me all the things!

I’m looking forward to Fallout 4 moreso than anything else (confirmed or simply prospected) on the horizon.

i’d be extremely happy with Fallout 4 news. i’d be even happier with TES 6 news. i’d descend into gibbering madness if they decided they wanted to do a new RPG based on “The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath”.
