Bethesda to Hold Second E3 Showcase on June 12

Video game creators have been retooling their approach to E3 these days. From Square Enix holding a press showcase months in advance to get ahead of everyone, to Nintendo opting to do Nintendo Directs in lieu of holding media briefing at all, more and more companies are trying to rise above the noise of the industry’s biggest trade show and dominate the conversation on their own terms. Another one of the more recent companies that decided to break tradition is Bethesda, who just announced that their second E3 press briefing will take place on June 12. Get hyped! This year, the showcase is leaving Hollywood Boulevard and moving to the LA Hanger downtown, closer to the rest of the E3 festivities.

With Fallout 4‘s massive May update coming out before this press conference, and Doom released to the wild, what else could Bethesda possibly be planning to show off? A Brink sequel? Let us all pray that’s not the case! We’ll certainly get a healthy dose of Dishonored 2 gameplay, more on the Elder Scrolls card game, some Doom DLC, and quite possibly another huge update for Fallout 4. Outside of those several items, the remaining announcements are a toss-up. Personally, I’d love to see Bethesda introduce a new IP — preferably something with space travel and a deep sci-fi universe.

What would you like to see from Bethesda at their E3 showcase this year? Are you a fan the increasing number of publishers throwing their own press conferences? Tell us how hyped you are about the future of Bethesda in the comments below.
