Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill Make Fun of Each Other for Charity

It’s super nice (pun intended) to see the stars of popular and highly anticipated geeksphere movies being awesome and funny people. Stars! They’re just like us! Except they get to fly spaceships or wear capes without getting made fun of at family reunions (I’m still mad at you, Uncle Frank). One organization that constantly uses actors and actresses from popular franchises to help raise money and awareness for worthy causes is Omaze, who’ve previously given Star Trek fans a day on the set, or allowed Star Wars fans to meet Han Solo himself. They do good stuff. And now their latest campaign, centering around Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has that movie’s rival leads take potshots at each other in the name of charity.

In their recent separate videos, stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill have been asking kids to decide who they like better, Batman or Superman. With the campaign winding down and the release of BvS drawing ever nearer, it’s time for them to really throw down. In the newest video, Affleck and Cavill take turns pointing out the, let’s face it, sillier aspects of the respective characters.

When Affleck says the winner could meet him and drive around in the Batmobile, “the most iconic vehicle in the DC Comics canon,” Cavill rightly points out that Batman is the only superhero who even NEEDS a car. Uhhh, it’s kind of true, although he fails to point out that Wonder Woman had an invisible jet for years…even though she could jump and fly and stuff. To counter, Affleck makes fun of how ridiculous it is that a pair of thick glasses are all that separate Clark Kent from being completely found out as Superman… he is the most famous man on the planet, after all!

Both good points, and it’s pretty funny that Jesse Eisenberg has to step in to be the voice of reason, given he’s the darn villain of the movie. And who wouldn’t want to photobomb Batman and Superman? If you’d like to enter for your chance to get the ultimate Batman v Superman experience, you can click the link here. The contest closes on Sunday, March 13, so don’t be a dawdler.
