Burger King‘s slogan, “Have it your way,” is really just an invitation for aggravation, isn’t it? I mean, when you tell people you can have your food served to you in any manner you like, someone is going to take advantage of that general concept and abuse it for ridiculous purposes. And it will always be funny.
That’s what the folks at RocketNews24 did, when they continued their tradition of being pains in the neck to their local Burger King establishment, this time by ordering nearly 80 dollars worth of extra pickles on their double Whopper, which comes out to over 700 pickle slices. An employee had tape smaller wrappers together to make it to go.
That’s an impressive burger building! You have to really admire the structural integrity of the pickle tower.
So how did it taste? They say it tasted like one regular burger and a bunch of pickles. Yeah, they couldn’t actually eat it, so they just shared the pickles around the office. I mean, look at the size of this thing with some perspective — you can’t eat it as is.
They’ve done this before to BK, ordering a burger with 1,000 slices of cheese, one with 100 slices of onion, and another with 1,000 slices of bacon.
Wait, what’s funny about that last one?
I can’t say I’ve ever done anything equivalent (even as a devote In-N-Out fan I’ve never ordered anything bigger than a 3×3). The closest I came to something like this is when McDonald’s once had a “buy 10 McNuggets get 10 free” promotion, so two friends and I ordered 70. “You want 140 then?”
They had to carry it out to our car in giant bags, and they gave us every sauce in the store. I swear they gave us sauces that don’t actually exist. This wasn’t a silly gag either; we went back and ate them while we watched football.
What was I talking about?
Oh, yeah, pickles. Anyway, head over to read the full story and see even more of the ridiculous pictures they took.
What’s the most absurd thing you’ve ever ordered from a restaurant? Don’t let me be the only one that shared his embarrassing story, tell yours in the comments below.
