Behold, A Trailer For Pixar’s ‘Brave’

Here’s the trailer for the next Pixar movie, Brave, as premiered this weekend attached to another Pixar movie:

So it’s not Cars 2. And, yes, your hero is a heroine. You have a year of hype ahead of you before it opens next Summer; this is just the start. By the way, the voice cast includes Billy Connolly, Craig Ferguson, and Robbie Coltrane, so it’s obviously set in Alabama. No, of course, we’re heading to Scotland for this one, and you’ll be going to see it no matter what, right?

(By the way, I posted this and didn’t notice that Kyle had done the same at the same time. So, to share credit, why don’t I just urge that you follow him on Twitter, okay? Good)

  1. Lucy says:

Yay for Craig! I hope the world continues to produce movies (animated or otherwise) that need a Scottish Conan guy.

  2. Alicia says:

Ahem…Preschool teacher, here. Cars 2 is something for all my little monsters to go see this summer. I’m thankful for it. However, I will be suspicious if I see a Cars 3 in Summer 2014.

  3. Ian says:

Why does every Pixar film have a female redhead in it? Okay, maybe not the ones about animals or machines, but all the ones with humans. Is it mandatory? Not that I’m complaining, I love a redhead, but it is in all of them!

  4. Jarrett says:

Well the head of Disney, head of Pixar and director/ co-writer of Cars 2 are all the same person I don’t think he forced himself to do anything.

  5. DefconDan says:

See this is why I love Pixar… always giving you something new… when Disney isnt forcing sequels on them! Looks cool!

  6. Joseph says:

First read up on this at CartoonBrew about a year ago, and it looks as amazing as the concept art indicated it would. This really does seem like Pixar found it’s action/adventure stride once more after some rather, well, IMHO, lackluster outings. Our Heroine looks stunning, and I’m glad their going for some authenticity with the voice actors in the setting. It’s not…I don’t know, CG-Vikings with American accents. Don’t get me wrong, I loved me that movie, but…yeah. Anyway! Might be my inner WHO-Nerd talking, but I second loving the idea of having Karen Gillian voicing the young Hero 🙂

  7. Jennifer says:

YES!! A Redheaded heroine!! I love the look of this so far, it looks beautiful and the voice talent and did I mention a redhead heroine?! Gingers rule!!

  8. mPony says:

    I like the horse. 🙂

  9. blair says:

Finally! This girl has MY hair, where were you in 1984 when a 10 year old girl had no heroines that looked like her. With the people listed in this post for voices alone I am so taking my redheaded daughter to see this!

  10. David says:

Would it be too much to hope that famous Scots David Tennant and Karen Gillan might have a part in this?

  11. Magnoliafan says:

Unlike Cars 2, this actually looks like something from Pixar.

  12. Kent says:

I absolutely love the look of this movie so far. I’m wondering what the over all tone will be and what kind of story it will really have. I wasn’t massively disappointed by Cars 2, mostly because I didn’t have high expectations for it. It’ll be nice to see Pixar do something fresh.
