Shake, shake, shake senora, shake your body line. Work, work, work senora, so you can afford these brilliantly realized Beetlejuice masks. The perfect Nerdoween costume if you feel like celebrating the season is no longer a grimy, striped suit. That is, if you want to look like what scarred your childhood.
For those unfamiliar with the film, the above mask is probably pretty upsetting. And if you haven’t seen the 10th highest grossing film of 1988, then the next one isn’t going to help much either.
For true Beetljuice fans — which are called… Beetleheads? B-Juiceys? — the pictures probably had you searching for this Amazon link before you even read this sentence. The masks are incredibly detailed, wearable versions of the horrifying faces Adam and Barbara Maitland used their first time haunting the Deetzâs. You know, this scene:
It’s a truly unnerving scene in a film that was already pretty uncomfortable to watch. At least we can finally turn those deep-seeded issues into the best dang Halloween costumes ever! The costume also includes the eyeball finger gloves that are sure to make answering your phone during a party super easy.
What do you think of these Maitland masks? What other Beetlejuice characters need to be seen in costume form? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
