Be Your Own Office Superhero

One of the best things about that whole “nerds have inherited the Earth” phenomenon is that we are now pretty much allowed to flaunt our fandoms wherever we want. I know my office desk is littered with toys I’ve picked up at various conventions, and I’d bet that yours is too. Well, I’m here to tell you there’s a new thing out there for you to crave. Welcome to the geeky future where you can equip your office desk chair with a cape.

There are four options to choose from but let this be a warning to you: the runs of each cape are pretty limited (both Batman and Bizarro Superman were first available at San Diego Comic Con 2015 and Bizarro Superman is currently out of stock) so you’re going to want to get your order in sooner rather than later. On offer are desk capes with the aforementioned Bizarro Superman design, a Batman design, and now available for pre-order are a Wonder Woman cape and a Batgirl cape.

The capes are produced by Entertainment Earth and hang 24 inches from top to bottom. They’re made of polyester so you can keep them clean with minimal effort, and they will hold up to the rigors of office life pretty well. The Wonder Woman and Batgirl capes will be available in September.

While I’m not sure the superhero-obsessed financial executive will be able to get away with attaching these to his or her desk chair at work, I’m pretty sure a lot of us could benefit from the extra self esteem a superhero cape will bring to office life. Make sure you grab one today, and tell me what other designs you hope they’ll come up with next in the comments. Maybe a Supergirl cape will debut with the new TV show if we’re lucky?
