Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most anticipated movie of the year and already has one breakout star: BB-8, the little droid that could. BB-8 has taken the world by storm and captured the hearts of all droid lovers in the galaxy.
During Force Friday, the BB-8 droid by Sphero sold out within hours and the lucky few that got him quickly put him to work making videos with pets and causing general mayhem throughout homes and offices.
This time BB-8 hits the road and we get to see him enjoy the Happiest Place On Earth. Youtuber Keith Lapinig created a video that follows BB-8 in a fantastic adventure throughout Disneyland. In the video BB-8 rolls past the main gates, past the castle and sets out to explore the park. Maybe scouting locations for the new Star Wars Land? Droid scouts seem like the obviously way to research.
Inevitably he ends up in Tomorrowland at Jedi Training, receiving a proper scowl from Darth Maul, who shockingly doesn’t use his double bladed lightsaber to chop off the droid’s head. I guess Maul is more sympathetic than an internet cat.
As BB-8 rolls along past Disneyland landmarks, he gets welcomes from cast members and ends up visiting all the Disney princesses. In the end, the littlest astromech ends up doing what we all do after a long day at a theme park, settling in for a little recharge.
