Bayonetta and Corinn SUPER SMASH BROS. DLC Dates Confirmed

If you thought we were excited when Nintendo unveiled Cloud Strife as a Super Smash Bros. DLC character, we were doubly so when they announced Bayonetta. Since Nintendo announced her inclusion back in December, we’ve been on pins and needles, waiting for an official release date. Thankfully the wait is over.

Nintendo recently revealed (via Twitter) that the highly anticipated bundle of DLC (featuring Bayonetta and Corinn) will be hitting the Wii U and 3DS on February 3rd in North America, and on the 4th in Europe. That’s soooo soon!

As of right now, Nintendo has yet to confirm the exact time the content will be releasing, but, according to Nintendo of America’s tweet (above), we’ll likely be getting her some time during the afternoon. With Europe getting their hands on it the morning of the following day, we’re assuming they’ll be scoring a midnight release—with the NA release correlating with the time zone difference.

As we’ve already mentioned, we’re particularly stoked to finally play around with Bayonetta. Based on the move-set shown off  in the video at the top of the page, she looks like she’s going to be quite the powerhouse. I can’t wait to see her go head-to-head with my current favorite, Zero Suit Samus.

While Corinn (who is from Fire Emblem Fates) is a fast swordsman like his fellow Fire Emblem fighters, we’re excited to try out his manakete powers. He also wields the blade Omega Yato, which is pretty badass. Plus—like Robin—Corinn comes with an alternate female costume. Check out his moves below:
