Even without any superhuman abilities, Batman still stands up as one of the world’s greatest superheroes. His intelligence, bravery, and technological prowess have even let him go toe-to-toe with Superman on a couple of occasions. However, he does come up short in comparison to some of the most famous super men around in one regard: the Dark Knight’s sense of humor is no match for Deadpool’s unique comedic appeal.
In the second episode of our new series, Toy Shelf, where we explore the secret world of our action figures when we aren’t around, the Caped Crusader’s dark (so dark it’s hard to see) sense of humor makes it tough for him to understand why people love Deadpool so much. But if the Dark Knight doesn’t get why the chimichanga is the funniest of all Mexican foods, there’s no f*^%$ing way he’s ever going to get the balls-to-the-wall appeal of the Merc with a Mouth.
Between this and what happened in the contentious first episode of Toy Shelf, we’re starting to think that the super rich sociopath who dresses up like a bat and hangs out in the seediest parts of town might not have the requisite social skills to live in a small space with others. Something tells us a young Bruce Wayne never had to share his toys.
Thank goodness for everyone else on that shelf Deadpool is around to keep things light. Especially for the Smurfs. You probably really need to blow off some steam when you live in a town where everyone just manically repeated the name of your species all the time.
