BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT PC Sales Suspended Following Performance Issues

For the past few days, gamers everywhere have been losing hours at a time to the addictive final chapter in WB Interactive and Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight. I even had to pry myself away from it to make sure I am bringing you all the news. In the latest on PC port of the game, we’ve found out that Warner Bros. has currently suspended PC sales. We reported back on Tuesday that the game was experiencing severe frame-rate issues and pre-load problems for those that purchased it for PC. While Warner Bros. tried to do a quick fix update, it seems the game’s problems are far from being overcome. A representative took to the WB forums to address fans about the issue and their plans to rectify them.

“We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.”

This has, however, left a very sour taste in the mouths of Batman’s PC gamers, who have torn the game apart in Steam reviews for the technical issues. Warner Bros. has recommended that players look to get a refund from Steam or whichever retailer they purchased the game from while they work to re-optimize the game to run properly. Rocksteady has said they are working closely with third party PC development partner, Iron Galaxy, to address the issues. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. recommends that anyone who does not want to seek a refund should keep the game on low graphical settings until the issues can be resolved.

Have you been plagued by the PC Arkham blues? Well, sing them out here in the comments below.
