The Batman: Arkham video game series may be over, but fans will soon have the opportunity to revisit Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that both games are getting next gen remakes for for Xbox One and Playstation 4 as part of the Batman: Return to Arkham bundle.

Virtuos has remastered the first two Batman: Arkham games with the Unreal Engine 4. Additionally, Return to Arkham will include all of the previously released DLC and Game of the Year bonus content for both titles.

To demonstrate the upgraded character models, environments, lighting, and effects, Warner Bros. Interactive has released a preview trailer for Batman: Return to Arkham which revisits some of the iconic moments from the first two games.

Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City featured stories by Paul Dini, one of the creative forces behind Batman: The Animated Series. Additionally, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprised their respective roles as Batman and the Joker for the Arkham games. In Arkham Asylum, Batman was trapped in the asylum by the Joker, and forced to face Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc, and other villains before confronting the Clown Prince of Crime. In Arkham City, Batman contended with a larger group of villains including the Riddler, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, and Hugo Strange as the insanity of Arkham Asylum was transplanted into Gotham City itself.

Batman: Return to Gotham will be released on July 26.
