Barking Dog Sounds Just Like a TIE Fighter From STAR WARS

You know how they call a battle between fighter pilots a dogfight? Well, we think Lucasfilm might have taken that term literally when they came up with some of their sound effects, at least we do after watching this video of an adorable pup that sounds just like TIE fighters from Star Wars.

This hilarious short video was posted to YouTube by Andrew Saunders, and he edited it to cut between him picking up his very happy dog Geraldine from the hospital and the battle between the Millennium Falcon and the Empire’s TIE fighters from A New Hope, because Geraldine’s happy barking/screeching/yapping sounds just like those Imperial fighters flying through space.

We don’t think we will ever be able to un-hear this. If you don’t believe us just watch the full scene from the movie and try not to hear Geraldine barking. At first you’ll say, “No way, doesn’t sound that much alike,” but by the end we bet you’ll be laughing at how much that ecstatic dog sounds like a TIE fighter.

Told you. We told you.

If Grumpy Cat can build an entire enterprise just on her looks, why can’t Geraldine put her uncanny skills as an impressionist to good use? We want to hire her for our next Star Wars viewing party, or to just come hang out at the office with us.

And if she does come visit, we know we don’t have to worry about her being a supporter of the Empire or the First Order, because, even if she does sound like a TIE fighter, she is obviously a good dog.

What are some of your other favorite animals that sound just like something else? Fly into our comments below and let us know.
