Bake a Dinosaur Cake Just Like Chris Hemsworth

When it’s your kid’s birthday, by Odin’s beard you will do everything in your Norse power to make sure they get the day of their dreams — even if that means making a last minute birthday cake.

Let down by a local bakery who obviously has a thing against dinosaurs, Chris Hemsworth took the task of baking into his own hands and went to work creating a special cake for his daughter India’s birthday.

The photo posted by his wife Elsa Pataky has since gone viral as it shows Hemsworth working hard in the kitchen to make sweet birthday dreams come true. On his own Instagram, he called the cake “La TRex al la chocolate,” a true masterpiece and act of fatherly love.

Honestly, a chocolate dinosaur dessert sounds like a wish come true no matter how old you are. Should you want to recreate this special dino cake for yourself, never fear, puny humans: we’ve assembled all the supplies for you to bake your very own Dino cake, just like Chris Hemsworth.

We did some minor detective work and discovered that Wilton makes the dinosaur cake pan and lettered Happy Birthday candles. A shaped pan definitely makes decorating easier (plus, a lot of fun). The cake mix Hemsworth used is made by Green’s, an Australian baking mix company, but we’re pretty sure any box cake mix will do just fine. Asgardians don’t discriminate when it comes to cake.

A little bit of effort and a whole lot of love and you too can be baking cakes just like the God of Thunder himself. Now smash it to the ground with exuberance and ask for another!
