Badass New ATOMIC BLONDE Trailer is Also the Best Music Video Ever

We were already completely obsessed with the first trailer for Atomic Blonde, the upcoming action movie that features Charlize Theron as a British assassin on a violent mission. But hot dang, if this new one hasn’t completely blown our minds. Did you like the part in the first trailer when they played “Blue Monday?” Because this takes that aesthetic and dials it all the way up to 11. Check it out:

I don’t know about you all, but I’m going to be thinking about that absolute fire mash-up of Kanye’s “Black Skinhead” and Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” for the rest of the day. Luckily, that track exists: the most popular version is called “Personal Yeezus” (of course it is) and was first mixed by Chambaland, a.k.a. Dan Chamberlain, back in 2013. You can grab it off of one of his many mixtapes on his website here.

In case this isn’t enough to get you pumped, just to remind you: Atomic Blonde was also directed by David Leitch, one of the minds behind John Wick. So, in case you were getting serious Keanu Reeves déjà vu from that one scene in the trailer where Charlize Theron cleanly and deliberately shoots a guy in two different places of his body to subdue him, that’s probably why. Of course, John Wick never destroyed a man with a shoe, to the best of my recollection, so it looks like Charlize Theron has him beat there.

Atomic Blonde also stars James McAvoy, John Goodman, Toby Jones, Sofia Boutella, Til Schweiger, and Eddie Marsan, and is set to hit theaters July 28. Are you as excited to see it as we are? Let us know your thoughts below!
